Sagar Chadha honed his legal skills while serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County, NY from 2010-2015. Starting off in the Misdemeanor/Intake Bureau, Mr. Chadha quickly worked his way up to become a Felony trial prosecutor. Mr. Chadha prosecuted hundreds of major felony cases including but not limited to: kidnapping, burglary, attempted murder, robbery, assault, grand larceny and identity theft.
In 2012 he was chosen to work directly in defending the appeal of a high-profile murder conviction. Having taken numerous cases to verdict as an Assistant D.A., Mr. Chadha developed a reputation as a tough, competent and skilled trial lawyer.
Mr. Chadha left the Queens County District Attorney’s Office in 2015 and joined a large national plaintiff’s firm based in New York City, where he represented victims of asbestos exposure.
There, he represented these hard-working men and women in over 30 depositions nationwide, successfully prosecuting civil cases against large multi-national companies and business conglomerates. Mr. Chadha added to his investigative skills in working to trace back occupational and non-occupational asbestos exposure, and brings these investigative skills with him to The Perecman Firm.
In 2016, Mr. Chadha joined a large national insurance defense firm based in Westchester County, New York. It was here that he had the opportunity to understand defense litigation from the inside. Mr. Chadha used this valuable experience to understand the ins and outs of insurance defense and the relationships between carriers and coverage.
Prior to joining The Perecman Firm in 2017, Mr. Chadha was a Trial Attorney at a large plaintiff’s personal injury firm located in downtown Manhattan. Mr. Chadha worked directly with the principal of the firm on tough trial cases involving serious injuries and took these cases to verdict in Kings County (Brooklyn) and New York County (Manhattan).
A native of the borough of Queens, Mr. Chadha knows the value of hard work and discipline. He observed first-hand the dedication and commitment that all New Yorkers exhibit in going about their daily lives, and understands the pain and frustration that one experiences when their work or enjoyment of life is taken away from them due to injury. Mr. Chadha also assists our Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi speaking clients at defendants’ examinations before trial to ensure their testimony is preserved accurately.
