
Sahar Maali’s practice focuses on internal corporate investigations, government enforcement actions, compliance counseling, and complex commercial and securities litigation. She regularly represents clients in both civil and criminal matters before the US Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and law enforcement agencies.
Ms. Maali has particular experience in matters related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, financial fraud, economic sanctions, anti-money laundering, compliance and risk management, internal controls and disclosure issues.
Ms. Maali’s practice is international in scale and her clients include major multinational corporations, financial institutions and technology companies. Ms. Maali also maintains an active pro bono practice, where she represents individuals in immigration matters.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Maali served as a general litigation intern for Google. She also completed internships for former San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris, United States Senator Barbara Boxer and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
