
Sam Cowin is a litigation associate in the Washington office of Hughes Hubbard & Reed. Sam has experience drafting motions and briefs on complex issues of federal and state law, arguing cases in state trial and appellate courts, defending depositions, and advising clients on litigation risks in a variety of contexts.
Sam is also a member of the Firm’s arbitration practice group; his arbitration practice focuses on investment treaty arbitrations.
Sam maintains an active pro bono practice. Most recently, he briefed and argued cases before the Maryland Court of Appeals, Maryland Court of Special Appeals, D.C. Court of Appeals, and D.C. Superior Court.Sam is a member of the Firm’s Professional Standards Committee.
