Substantively, Samantha’s practice focuses primarily on helping companies navigate cutting-edge and evolving consumer protection, data privacy, cybersecurity, and constitutional issues, as well as shape policy through government-facing litigation.
For example, Samantha has secured numerous victories for a technology client challenging government restraints on corporate speech related to data privacy. She also routinely publishes and advises clients across industries regarding compliance with cybersecurity regulations, as well as steps companies can take to enhance their defense in the event of data privacy litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Samantha clerked for the Honorable Carlos T. Bea on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, practiced securities and employment litigation at another top-tier firm, and worked for two years for a JAMS arbitrator.
Samantha earned her JD from UCLA School of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif, served as Senior Editor of the UCLA Law Review, drafted several amicus briefs on First Amendment issues, and was honored as a Michael T. Masin Scholar.
