Samantha R. Gutridge is an associate in Venable’s Real Estate Practice in Baltimore. Before joining Venable, Samantha clerked for the office of the Maryland Attorney General, where she advised and supported supervising attorneys on current statutes, regulations, and case law; evaluated case law and formulated legal arguments for any issues arising from complaints filed by consumers to the Maryland Insurance Administration; and examined and evaluated SERFF insurance filings as part of their analysis.
Samantha is a 2017 graduate of University of Notre Dame Law School. While in law school, she served as an intern for the Honorable Judge Michael J. Finifter of the Baltimore County Circuit Court. She was also managing editor of the Journal of Legislation and served on the executive board of Legal Voices for Children and Youth.
During undergraduate school, Samantha was a research assistant with AmWins International in Tampa, FL, where she researched Department of Defense contractors in order to establish a novel, company-wide database.
She was also a legal intern with Starr Companies of New York, where she reviewed and edited international and domestic contracts for reinsurance and confidentiality agreements; assisted attorneys with written and verbal negotiations with opposing counsel during contract drafting; and coordinated with international parties to acquire signatures for legal agreements.
