Samantha Springer is an associate in the Litigation Department. Samantha handles a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, with a particular focus on contract disputes, business torts, insurance coverage matters, and regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings. Samantha’s practice also includes white-collar criminal defense work.
She has handled matters in both federal and state courts, as well as before arbitration forums. In addition, Samantha maintains a diverse pro bono practice and has represented indigent clients in family court, as well as criminal defendants in federal court.
Samantha also coordinates Proskauer’s mentorship program with Francis Lewis High School in Fresh Meadows, New York, through which firm lawyers train students in oral advocacy. She has been recognized as Empire State Counsel by the New York State Bar Association for her pro bono work.
Samantha served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jack Zouhary of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Prior to joining the firm, Samantha worked as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel in the General Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department, Office of the Corporation Counsel.
Samantha represented the city and its agencies in federal, state and administrative actions involving challenges to city policies and allegations of constitutional and statutory violations.
While in law school, Samantha interned for the Honorable Loretta A. Preska of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.
