Samuel A. Schwartz

Samuel Schwartz, a graduate of Loyola School of Law in Chicago, began his professional career with a general corporate practice in 1997, and transitioned to general corporate and bankruptcy practice in 1998.

Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Schwartz practiced commercial bankruptcy law, representing debtors and creditors on a broad range of business reorganization and restructuring matters involving a variety of industries, including South Edge, LLC, developer of Southern Nevada’s Inspirada Master Planned Community, W. R. Grace & Co.’s asbestos related Chapter 11 bankruptcies, Trans World Airlines, Inc. in its Chapter 11 cases, Zenith Electronics Corporation in its corporate restructuring and Chapter 11 reorganization, Jitney-Jungle Stores of America, Inc. in its Chapter 11 auction and liquidation,  AmeriServe Food Distribution in its Chapter 11 liquidation, PhyAmerica Physician Services in its Chapter 11 restructuring, auction and sale, The Williams Companies as the largest creditor in the bankruptcy of Williams Communication, Inc., among several other debtors and creditors in Chapter 11.
