Samuel J Sorensen

Samuel J Sorensen is an experienced family law attorney in Salt Lake City, Utah. He holds the license to practice law before all the State Courts of Utah, the District Court of Utah, and the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals since 2010.

He holds the designation of an approved Private guardian and Litem and has also served as an appointed judge Pro Tempore for the Salt Lake City Small Claims Court. He specializes in a variety of issues concerning family law including divorce and child custody.

The Utah Business Magazine recognized him as a Utah Legal Elite Attorney in the years 2016, 2017, and 2018. The Elite Lawyers of America granted him the Elite Lawyer Award in 2018. He also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from America’s Top 100 Attorneys in the same year.

He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Utah Bar Association since 2010. He is also a Committee Member of the New Lawyer Training Program Committee of the Utah State Bar and a member of its Family Law Section.

Sam Sorensen was the Treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Canyon Rim Citizen’s Association during 2013 – 2016. He also served as a Board Member of the Park City Bar Association and Canines With A Cause during 2015 – 2017.

He understands the difficulties of his clients’ face when they go through a divorce and helps them move forward in life by providing honest advice. He prepares them for their case by educating them about legal processes and procedures.

He obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree in Law from the Gonzaga University School of Law and his Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Utah in 2010 and 2006 respectively.

He started his legal career by working with the law firm Christensen Thornton PLLC from 2010 to 2012. He was an Associate Attorney with the law firms Cordell & Cordell and Miller Law Utah during 2013 – 2015 and 2015 – 2016 respectively.

Sam founded his SEB Legal Attorneys At Law in the year 2016. He speaks English and Portuguese languages.
