
Samuel Gilbertson has been with Willis Law since 2014. His practice areas include sports agency, civil litigation, estate litigation, real estate and construction law, and corporate law. Samuel graduated from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he earned his Juris Doctor as a member of the Honors division. While at Regent Law, Samuel competed in national trial competitions and won the Top Advocate and Best Oralist awards at Regent Law.
He also served as the president of the Business Law Society and received Regent Law’s award for the highest grade in Negotiations and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Prior to becoming an attorney, Samuel spent three years as a college basketball coach at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, where he also earned his B.A. in Politics and Government and graduated magna cum laude.
He is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Michigan and the Federal Court for the Western District of Michigan, as well as the State Courts of Indiana, the Federal Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the Supreme Court of Indiana. Samuel is the co-chair of the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association.
He is on the board for Kalamazoo HomeSchool Sports, as well as the board for Alternatives of Kalamazoo. He is also the head coach of the boys’ varsity high school basketball team for the Kalamazoo Cougars.
