Samuel J. Webster’s practice areas include labor and employment law; railroad defense litigation; municipal liability, including employment matters and civil rights defense; general defense litigation.
Sam represents employers in all aspects of discrimination matters, from investigating and defending charges before the EEOC through trials in federal and state courts. He has also represented management in employer-employee relations matters, wrongful discharge cases, unemployment and workers’ compensation matters, and OSHA whistleblower matters.
His transportation practice includes defending railroads in FELA, grade crossing and trespasser cases; FRSA whistleblower cases; Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act cases, including appeals; and employment discrimination and Railway Labor Act claims.

- Represents municipalities in civil rights (42 USC Section 1983) litigation and employment-related matters.
- Successfully represented major manufacturer in defending discrimination charges before EEOC.
- Extensive experience in defending occupational Repetitive Strain Injury (carpal tunnel syndrome, back wear out, etc.) cases under FELA.
- Extensive experience in FELA trauma cases and grade crossing cases for railroads.
