Sandra T. Jimenez focuses her practice on counseling and representing employers on a variety of labor and employment matters. Sandra has experience representing management in employment litigation instituted in federal and state court, and in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, and the New York State Division of Human Rights.
Claims involved include harassment, discrimination, and retaliation on the basis of age, sex, race, national origin, and disability, wrongful termination, failure to hire/promote, and breach of contract. Sandra has also handled matters involving the enforcement of restrictive convenants and non-compete agreements.
Sandra has defended employers in actions brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disability Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the New Jersey Conscientious Employee Protection Act, the New York State Human Rights Law, and the New York City Human Rights Law, among other federal and state statutes and local laws.
She has also counseled clients on a variety of employment related matters, including compliance with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination and harassment laws, disciplinary actions, and leaves of absence. Prior to joining Littler, Sandra worked as a labor and employment attorney in New York City.
