SPBR Case# 2024-INV-01-0012
I have been the Director of the Gallia County Veterans Office since 2012. On December 28, 2023 the Veterans Service Commission (VSC) came in the office and told me to retire or be fired. This was over an incident that occurred 6 months earlier in June 2023, when I left a conference in Madison Wisconsin 2 days early. I have never received any discipline for anything in 14 years. I feel strongly that this was driven for personal reasons between one member of the VSC and an employee who worked for me, and they are related. There has been a number of things influencing this over the past 10 years, which is all explained in a summary I have prepared. I am currently in the process of finding reprsentation. The VSC are represented by Fishel Downey Albrect & Riepenhoff. You may contact me by phone at 740-794-0147 or by email: jwt252@att.net
