Sarah Cummings is a senior associate in our Life Sciences Health Industry Group and has offices in Dallas and Austin, Texas. She focuses her practice on anti-corruption, regulatory, compliance, and litigation matters for clients such as hospitals and hospital systems; medical device, pharmaceutical, and biological manufacturers; Part B DMEPOS suppliers; pharmacy chains; and other related companies in the life sciences and health care space.
In addition to counselling clients on bet-the-company lawsuits and government investigations, Sarah also has designed and implemented corporate compliance programs at companies of varying sizes.
She works closely with her clients to build effective compliance programs that manage the organization’s risk according to its unique risk profile, weaving the compliance program into core operations to drive and retain value without obstructing business operations.
Sarah’s experience also extends to state, federal, and international transparency and disclosure laws (such as the “Sunshine Act”), which require life sciences companies to report certain payments and other transfers of value they make to health care professionals and other entities.
