Ms. Sarah Fedner is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s New York office. She has regularly handled a diverse range of matters, including shareholder class actions, internal and government investigations, complex contractual disputes, real estate litigation, business tort cases and products liability defense.
In particular, Ms. Fedner has defended officers and directors in connection with litigation and government investigations. She has also represented parties in litigating contract and real estate disputes, including litigation of usage rights, condominium board disputes and co-op shareholder disputes.
Ms. Fedner has experience representing clients in both national and international disputes. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Fedner defended clients in premises liability, medical malpractice and personal injury lawsuits as an associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP.
In this role, Ms. Fedner gained significant experience preparing cases for trial, including drafting motions in limine, expert disclosures, subpoenas and notices of intent to introduce evidence. She also regularly drafted and argued motions, attended court conferences and depositions and reviewed and reported to clients on plaintiffs’ medical records.
In her third year of law school, Ms. Fedner was selected to participate in the highly competitive Alexander Fellows Program, whereby she worked as a full time junior clerk for a semester in the chambers of the Honorable Patty Shwartz, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. While at Cardozo, Ms. Fedner served as the managing editor of Cardozo’s Moot Court Honors Society. She also completed pro bono work as a legal advocate for victims of domestic violence.
