Sarah Vilms directs federal strategy for major US entities, develops comprehensive strategic plans to impact legislation and regulation, and advises clients in augmenting their national profiles. Sarah advocates on behalf of client matters before Congress, the White House and federal agencies including the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), White House Domestic Policy Council, Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of the Interior, Department of Agriculture and related agencies and governmental entities.
Her experience includes more than 20 years in energy, environment, natural resources and related policy fields. Specializing within the firm’s Public Policy Energy & Environment Practice Group, Sarah addresses issues on behalf of clients concerning conventional and renewable energy, power storage, net-metering, climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, ground-level ozone, Clean Power Plan, Clean Energy Incentive Program, COP 21, water-use, permitting and federal lands issues.
Sarah has gained experience in the US House of Representatives, US Senate and in the New South Wales Parliament House in Sydney, Australia. In addition, Sarah provided advice and counsel on a range of hospital, health care and health system issues for the Health Care Advisory Board in Washington DC.
Sarah’s understanding of Executive and Legislative branches decision making processes combined with the objectives of the private and public sectors has enabled her to develop and execute strategies to advance the economic accomplishments of her clients.
