Sarah Garvey-Potvin is a litigation associate whose practice focuses on white collar defense, internal investigations, and general commercial litigation. Ms. Garvey-Potvin joined Debevoise in 2011. Ms. Garvey-Potvin received a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark magna cum laude in 2011, where she was a member of Order of the Coif, a recipient of the Myron Harkavy Prize, and served as a research editor of the Rutgers Law Review.
She is the author of “The Snapped Shutter: Violations of the First Amendment Rights of Photographers on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey PATH System” published in the Rutgers Law Review in 2011. She was a 2010 Nathan Baker Trial Competition winner and named Best Oralist. She received a B.F.A. with cum laude honors from Emerson College.
Ms. Garvey-Potvin is a member of the Bar of the States of New York and New Jersey, and admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District Court of New Jersey.
