With a zeal for litigation, Scott Ingold has earned a reputation for effectively managing risk while achieving favorable results for his clients. “I have frank discussions with my clients about their concerns, and then together we establish goals and set realistic expectations,” says Mr. Ingold of his approach.
The breadth of Mr. Ingold’s litigation experience prior to joining HFM was in state and federal courts throughout California and southern Nevada. He tried jury and bench trials, as well as binding arbitrations in high-exposure cases involving business disputes, employment disputes, wage and hour claims, and wrongful death.
In addition to assisting HFM Partner Roland Achtel with probate matters, his practice covers all aspects of litigation from pre-filing negotiations through trial and appeals. His expertise is wide-ranging and includes medical malpractice, premise liability, executive employment issues, products liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, and land use.
Mr. Ingold received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wheaton College and obtained his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from California Western School of Law in 2007. He received numerous awards while there, including a spot with the top 10 percent of his class.
In recognition of both his oral and written communication skills, Mr. Ingold won first place in the Gill Oral Advocacy Competition and second place in the University of Oklahoma Indian Law Writing competition (2006).
He was the Editor-in-Chief of the California Western International Law Journal and received the Outstanding Associate Award from the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal.
