Scott McDowell focuses his practice on defending companies in complex, high-exposure toxic tort actions. He has extensive experience in litigation, including taking the lead on depositions involving claims of mesothelioma.
Scott also has experience handling complex commercial litigation. He writes about asbestos litigation for Goldberg Segalla’s award-winning Asbestos Case Tracker, which was recently named to the ABA Journal’s prestigious Blawg 100 and named the Best Litigation Blog for 2016 by the Expert Institute in its annual legal blog contest.
Scott has also represented numerous financial institutions in contested foreclosure and title matters throughout the state of Maryland. Notably, he successfully defended against motions brought by title insurers against financial institutions in complaints for declaratory relief.
