
Scott M. Lenahan is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the Private Funds Group. He has a general corporate practice with an emphasis on representing U.S. private investment fund sponsors with fund formations and investments. Scott counsels fund sponsors on regulatory issues and compliance, structuring and day-to-day operational issues.
In addition, Scott represents a diverse class of institutional investors with respect to investments in U.S. and non-U.S. private investment funds as well as secondary investment fund sponsors in the acquisition and disposition of portfolio investments in secondary transactions.
By leveraging his experience across primary and secondary markets, he is able to offer his clients a market-based view on industry terms and issues from the perspective of different private investment fund actors.
Prior to joining Proskauer, Scott practiced as a private investment funds lawyer at a Boston law firm. Prior to law school, Scott served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard.
