Scott Magdziak has over a decade of practice experience in the commercial real estate sector, including representing clients in matters involving the purchase, sale, leasing and financing of commercial real estate.
His broad range of experience encompasses the financing of commercial real estate transactions, including the documentation, closing, servicing and enforcement of commercial real estate loans across all asset classes and markets.
He has counseled both financial institutions and investors in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, loans and business assets.
In the capital markets and distressed assets arena, he has provided counsel on commercial loan securitizations, divestitures and turnaround assets, including note and loan sales, recapitalization, intercreditor resolutions, and servicing matters involving collateral release, defeasance, enforcement, UCC Sales and the drafting and negotiation of commercial real estate workout agreements, forbearance agreements and loan modifications.
Scott dedicates personal time to organizations throughout the greater Dallas community. Currently, he serves each week as Team Leader for Back on My Feet, an organization that combats homelessness through the power of running and community support.
Scott also is an enthusiastic volunteer with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and ACT (Advocates for Community Transformation), which empowers West and South Dallas residents to fight crime on their street using the justice system to educate and encourage communities to take a stand.
He is an avid cyclist, marathoner and, as an undergraduate at the University of Missouri, he was selected NCAA Academic All-American in Tennis.
