Sean Flynn joined Legler, Flynn, Murphy & Battaglia, LLP, as a partner in 2018, the law firm which his father, Thomas P. Flynn, along with Kennedy Legler III, founded in 1986. Mr. Flynn is a trial attorney specializing in the areas of personal injury, auto-accident, wrongful death, DUI and criminal defense.
Raised in the Bradenton-Sarasota area, Mr. Flynn attended Bradenton Christian School and earned an athletic baseball scholarship to the University of Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s and master’s degree and went on to play three years of minor league baseball. During law school, Mr. Flynn served as the Student Bar President and was a member of Moot Court.
Prior to his arrival at Legler, Flynn, Murphy & Battaglia, Mr. Flynn worked alongside Edwin T. “Eddie” Mulock, one of Manatee County’s most distinguished attorneys, in personal injury and criminal defense.
Mr. Flynn was also a prosecutor (Assistant State Attorney) for the 12th Judicial Circuit of Sarasota and Manatee County, where he became a proficient trial attorney. He has prosecuted and defended hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases and is familiar with the strategies and tactics used by the Office of the State Attorney.
He also has an extensive background in the area of sports/athlete representation, with over 15 years of combined experience as either a player, coach, advisor and agent. He has advised and worked with amateur and professional athletes around the world in all facets of the sports industry and is a licensed Athlete-Agent for the State of Florida.
Mr. Flynn is married to Anne Flynn, Esq., also a personal injury attorney, whom he met in law school. They currently have two children, Maggie and Tommy. In his spare time Mr. Flynn enjoys golfing, tennis, paddle-boarding, and spending time with his family. His family attends both St. Bernard’s Church on Anna Maria Island and St. Joseph’s Church in Bradenton.
