Seth Sias

Seth Sias represents clients in a wide variety of complex commercial disputes and white-collar matters. Seth has experience in state and federal courts and has advocated for clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He has obtained favorable outcomes in pre-trial proceedings, at trial, and on appeal.

Seth counsels clients in a range of industries, including energy, banking, and insurance. He strives to bring into focus the key issues of a case as they relate to clients’ business needs. Seth has handled matters including breach of contract disputes, negligence actions, allegations of securities fraud, and consumer protection laws.

His cases have involved diverse issues, such as the design of electrical distribution systems, the management of bond funds, and the regulation of an ERISA employee benefit plan. Seth is also experienced in regulatory and criminal investigations and prosecutions. He has represented clients facing investigations and proceedings by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Additionally, Seth has achieved numerous pro bono successes, including obtaining citizenship for a teenager fleeing from child abuse and securing disability benefits for a veteran. He is currently working with the Northern California Innocence Project to exonerate a man imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. He also engages with his community as an advocate for LGBT rights.
