Shana Madigan is an attorney in the Labor and Employment department, working out of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Washington, D.C. office. She represents employers in a wide range of employment matters, including claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and related state and local statutes.
Ms. Madigan also represents employers in various wage and hour matters. Ms. Madigan regularly defends clients against claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state fair employment agencies. She also provides general EEO compliance counseling and advice.
Ms. Madigan has valuable trial experience, including serving as second chair counsel in a criminal trial, where she successfully represented one of twenty-two defendants charged with violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Her client was found not guilty as to all charges. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Madigan served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas F. Hogan, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
