Shannon M. Kasley represents companies in multiparty and multi-district commercial and civil litigation, with a focus on the oil and gas sector. A partner in our Trial and Global Disputes practice, Shannon represents clients in a broad range of litigation as well as in civil and criminal matters, in particular antitrust cartel investigations.
Shannon’s litigation and investigation matters on behalf of oil and gas clients include commercial disputes, antitrust, mass tort and environmental, and challenges to regulatory and administrative actions.
Shannon has represented other clients in disputes ranging from complex mass tort and antitrust matters to qui tam suits alleging violations of the False Claims Act; securities and consumer fraud class actions; breach of fiduciary duty; breach of contract; unjust enrichment; indemnification; tortious interference; and misappropriation of trade secrets claims.
With more than 20 years of experience, Shannon has handled all phases of litigation, appearing on behalf of large national and international companies before numerous state and federal tribunals, administrative bodies and arbitration panels.
In addition, Shannon counsels corporate clients and individuals in civil and criminal investigations conducted by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command, as well as by numerous state attorneys general.
In particular, Shannon advises clients in connection with antitrust cartel matters, including internal investigations, leniency applications, and responding to grand jury subpoenas. He also advises boards of directors and executives on antitrust and other litigation exposure risk arising from contemplated transactions.
