Sharon M. Cooper provides practical, effective transactional and general corporate legal advice to corporate clients who expect significant experience, responsiveness and value from their outside counsel. Sharon concentrates her practice on mergers, acquisitions, corporate securities and general corporate compliance issues for a wide array of publicly traded and private companies.
Having previously served as in-house counsel for a publicly traded company, Sharon understands how to balance her detailed and conscientious approach to advising her corporate clients with how her legal advice affects the bigger picture in relation to their businesses.
Her practice includes (1) representing public and private companies in mergers and stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, (2) representing publicly traded companies in both the public and private issuance and resale of securities and (3) advising public companies regarding reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, compliance with stock exchange requirements, corporate governance and the conduct of annual and special stockholder meetings.
Sharon views building trusting relationships with her individual clients as imperative to providing the best legal service. She works diligently and thoughtfully to provide real value to her clients.
Sharon is recognized for her work in the Fort Worth legal community and was named as a top Fort Worth attorney in Corporate Finance/Mergers & Acquisitions in Fort Worth, Texas magazine, Fort Worth, Texas Magazine Venue LP, from 2009-2018. She also serves on the Member Networking Committee of Texas Wall Street Women.
