Ms. Kiel was a tax attorney for one of the nation’s largest accounting firms when she was selected as a juror in an armed robbery case. The experience was so thrilling that Ms. Kiel left accounting to become a prosecutor.
When family life brought her to Little Rock, Ms. Kiel served as a Deputy Public Defender for 11 years with more than five years experience exclusively defending Arkansans charged with serious, violent felonies. Ms. Kiel’s practice focuses on criminal trial practice and appellate advocacy.
Ms. Kiel is licensed to practice in all Arkansas State and Federal Courts, as well as all Texas and New York State courts. Ms. Kiel is also licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court and multiple Federal Courts in both Texas and New York.
Ms. Kiel received her law degree from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., after receiving her undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In her spare time, she enjoys jogging and spending time with her three children.
Ms. Kiel is a member of the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Harris County (Texas) Criminal Lawyers Association.
