
Shaughn Hill was born and raised in Ocala, FL before moving to Ormond Beach, FL in 2000. He attended the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction.
Upon graduation, he served as a file clerk at a construction law and commercial litigation firm in Jacksonville. Soon thereafter, he went on to attend the Florida State University College of Law, where he graduated cum laude and earned his Juris Doctorate.
While in law school, Mr. Hill worked as a law clerk at an appellate firm in Tallahassee. As a law clerk, he conducted extensive legal research in various areas of appellate law, ranging from divorce to 1st degree murder. He also assisted in the drafting of a substantial number of briefs and prepping multiple oral arguments.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Hill accepted a position with a workers’ compensation defense firm in Tampa. As an associate attorney, he represented numerous insurance carriers and employers in the area of workers’ compensation defense.
Following his desire to pursue a career in litigation, Mr. Hill left the firm in 2014 to accept a job with the Office of the State Attorney in Tampa. As a prosecuting attorney, Mr. Hill handled a multitude of cases including battery, trespass, petit theft, and DUI, amongst others. Mr. Hill served as lead prosecutor on more than 15 jury trials and sat on numerous others.
Ultimately, his desire to help others led him to accept a position with Morgan & Morgan. Today, Mr. Hill works in the Consumer Protection Department and his practice area focuses on the TCPA, FCCPA, FDCPA and other consumer issues.
