
Shawn D. Meade gained a particualr and personal appreciation for the immigrant community while serving a Spanish speaking mission in Provo Utah.
After spending two years visiting the homes of immigrants from Mexico, Central American, and all of South America Shawn drastically changed his career path from Applied Mathematics to Latin American Studies at Brigham Young University.
After graduating with a bachelor’s in Latin American Studies Shawn scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT (Law School Admission Test) and was granted an academic scholarship at the University of Denver.
While studying law Shawn began focusing on immigration law by working with a local practitioner and interning with Reardon Law Group. Shawn accepted employment with Reardon Law Group and spent three years developing the Denver office until it was time for Shawn to form his own law firm.
MyRights Immigration Law Firm was established in 2011 to provide a law firm dedicated to protecting immigrant rights in Federal Immigration proceedings and state criminal court.
Shawn has successfully defended immigrant rights in immigration proceedings, with the Administrative Appeals Office, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and USCIS field offices as well as Department of State offices around the worls.
