Shaylon R. Lovell focuses his practice on labor and employment matters. Prior to law school, Shaylon worked in human resources for a Fortune 500 hospitality company as a labor relations specialist.
He was responsible for training operational departments on various aspects of the business from an HR perspective, compiling and analyzing labor relations issues and complaints, conducting investigations of labor and contract concerns and grievance proceedings.
Shaylon previously worked in a management capacity in hospitality operational departments with skillsets including predictive forecasting and scheduling of employees, payroll, policy drafting and implementation.
He served 10 years as a noncommissioned officer for the U.S. Army and Utah Army National Guard as a field artillery surveyor. A decorated combat veteran, he completed two deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005-2006. Shaylon is a Distinguished Honor Graduate and Class Leader of the U.S. Army Field Artillery Surveyor School in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
