Sheena R. Thomas is an associate in the firm’s eCommerce, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Group in Washington, DC, where she represents clients from the advertising, data services, telecommunications, and cybersecurity industries. Sheena also advises clients regarding product development and data use practices.
She has helped counsel clients on compliance with federal, state, and international laws and regulations, including the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing (CAN-SPAM) Act, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA), state data breach notification laws, and the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield.
Sheena also drafts comments for various trade associations in response to federal rulemaking proceedings. Sheena earned her law degree from Cornell University. She holds an undergraduate degree from Wellesley College.
