Sheila E. Menz provides strategic counsel to clients facing complex regulatory issues and government-related investigations and litigation. Her experience also includes providing advice on matters before the various committees of the US Congress.
Ms. Menz previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ronald Lee Gilman of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. While attending law school, she was a summer associate at the firm, a legal extern in the Office of the White House Counsel, and a law clerk in the Oakland Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California.
Ms. Menz worked for several years at the US Department of State prior to pursuing her law degree, serving as an Obama Administration appointee in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs and managing a portfolio encompassing global women’s issues; democracy, human rights and labor; refugees and migration; and global health programs.
Ms. Menz also worked as an aide in the Offices of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and Senator Joe Lieberman, as well as for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
