Sherry Denise Phillips

Sherry Denise Phillips went to the University of Alabama in January of 1995, I thought my calling in life was to be a teacher. After graduating and working in the field for a few years, I made a decision to apply to Birmingham School of Law in 2009.

I had just gotten a divorce, and I had a 5-year-old depending on me. I was accepted and began classes shortly that summer. During my time in law school, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to take some time off from school. I was six months out of chemo when I graduated. Two months later, in July of 2013, I sat for the Alabama State Bar.

I passed on the first attempt and was admitted to the practice of law in September, 2013.     Since that time, I have fought to help ensure that my clients have the best representation I can give them. I love working in this field and taking on new challenges on a daily basis
