Sheryl Rae Ghezzi

Sheryl Rae Ghezzi has over 36 years of experience representing clients with complex family law challenges. Sheryl believes all avenues of amicable settlement should be explored but when litigation is required, client satisfaction is best achieved by working closely with the client in  developing strategies to achieve the client’s goals. Clients are kept well informed and are diligently represented whether a simple unconstested divorce or contested litigation involving child custody and high net worth property issues.

Her experience with the divorce process emcompasses the valuation and division of marital and non-marital property; parental responsibility for children; children’s financial support and specific contributions necessary for children’s expenses; children’s educational expenses; and spousal maintenance. Valuation complications arising from interests in professional practices, closely held corporations and commercial real estate are competently resolved.  Sheryl approaches each case in a bespoke fashion.

Sheryl shares her knowledge by lecturing, locally and nationally, in the areas of family law, child custody, legal ethics, and civility and professionalism. For over 25 years she has represented  children by appointment by the Circuit Court of Cook County. She mentors students and young lawyers through various organizations and educational institutions. Sheryl has been continuiously recognized for her achievements and is well respected in the legal community.
