
Silvia Pacia is a senior associate in Mayer Brown’s New York office. She focuses on serving clients with complex commercial disputes, mostly in the financial sector. She has represented clients, both at Mayer Brown and at a prior firm, in complex commercial cases from their inception, through trial and to appeal.
She concentrates on the areas of banking and financial services, including actions involving allegations of breach of contract, fraud, or misrepresentation in the sale of complex financial instruments, such as residential mortgage-backed securities.
She has also represented companies in other types of complex disputes, including securities actions, disputes involving insurance contracts, a copyright matter and several life settlements litigations.
Silvia is also actively involved in pro bono work, having worked on matters involving domestic violence and prisoners’ rights. Silvia graduated from Stanford University, with honors, and from Cornell Law School. She joined Mayer Brown in 2015 after spending several years at another international law firm in New York.
