Sonya Cho

Sonya Cho practices in the area of estate planning, probate and trust administration.  Her focus ranges from  “first level” estate planning to advanced planning techniques, with an emphasis on estate, gift and income tax planning strategies.

Sonya received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.A. in Economics and East Asian Studies from Columbia University. Sonya began her career practicing at large law firms in New York City and San Francisco.

After practicing for seven years,  Sonya took a break to explore her creative side and attended culinary school in San Francisco, California, where she later founded her own custom-designed cake business called Butterfly Cakes. She successfully operated that business for 12 years and her work has appeared in “In Style” magazine and on television.

Several years ago, Sonya and her family relocated to New Jersey, her native home state, where she returned to the practice of law. When not lawyering or baking, Sonya can be found cheering on the sidelines of her sons’ soccer games, or cooking a meal to be shared with friends over a glass of wine and some laughs
