Sophia Alonso focuses her practice on traditional labor law. She is a former trial attorney from the National Labor Relations Board with extensive first chair experience in unfair labor practice proceedings before the NLRB and U.S. District Court. She relies on her experience at the Board to help clients navigate government investigations, litigation and arbitrations.
She has experience with a broad range of labor disputes, ranging from employee discharges to any claim pertaining to collective bargaining. In addition, she gained unique experience conducting elections as a Board agent, which has translated to valuable insight for her clients on all aspects of representation cases.
Sophia represents employers in all stages of representation proceedings and advises clients on strategic responses to various types of organizing activity. Sophia also enjoys conducting training to enhance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
