She is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy/Biomedical Ethics.
She entered the practice of immigration law as a skilled scientist with a background in genetics. Her medical and scientific background gives her a deep understanding of biotechnology and related areas.
