Stephanie Lin is a senior associate in the firm’s Boston office who focuses her practice on IP litigation matters. She has worked on patent, copyright and trade secrets litigation in federal court, inter partes review proceedings in front of the US Patent and Trademark Office Board and International Trade Commission proceedings.
Ms. Lin’s experience also includes an international investigation for a high-profile banking client, contract disputes, arbitration and bankruptcy proceedings. In addition, Ms. Lin has represented pro bono clients in federal court and at administrative hearings.
Her pro bono clients include several artists, such as the creator of the Pepe the Frog character in his high-profile copyright enforcement actions against alt-right entities. As a student attorney in Georgetown’s Domestic Violence Clinic, Ms. Lin represented women seeking restraining orders, including successfully arguing a motion hearing before the District of Columbia Superior Court.
Ms. Lin is currently on the firm’s Community Service Committee and the Women’s Leadership Initiative Planning Committee, and she is a firm liaison with the Hyde Square Task Force. Ms. Lin is also a Partner at Social Venture Partners, a network of more than 3,200 engaged donors in 40 cities that helps individuals amplify their giving, fund and strengthen nonprofits, and equip their communities to tackle social challenges.
Before attending law school, Ms. Lin was a communications professional managing strategic public relations campaigns for technology, life sciences and corporate clients. She also previously worked in international operations at Starbucks and as a technical analyst at Microsoft. Ms. Lin received her JD from Georgetown University Law Center and her AB in Philosophy from Harvard University.
