Stephen R. Ferrara focuses his practice on advising U.S. registered funds, including exchange-traded funds and closed-end funds, and their investment advisers on various regulatory, compliance and business matters.
Mr. Ferrara has assisted clients with the development and launch of new funds and with regulatory and compliance matters relating to existing funds. He has also assisted clients in requests for exemptive and no-action relief from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. Ferrara also focuses his practice on advising U.S. and European asset managers and their investment funds, including U.S. registered funds and funds organized under the European Union Directive on Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS), on global distribution issues.
Prior to rejoining Dechert in 2015, Mr. Ferrara was employed as counsel at a large investment management firm. He also previously served as a legal intern in the asset management division of Fidelity Investments.
