Stephen C. Glazier focuses his practice on patent and technology matters, including patent prosecution, litigation, transactions, licensing, strategic counseling, opinion letters, responses to demand letters, due diligence, equity transactions for technology companies, intellectual property evaluations, and internal invention surveys.
Stephen has experience in a wide variety of fields, including software, business methods, computer systems, the Internet, nanotechnology, lubricants, hydraulic fracking, food processing, energy, finance, e-commerce, financial services, insurance, intelligent equipment, telecommunications, GPS applications, encryption, security systems, bio-ID sensors, wireless communication and hand-held devices, retailing, multimedia, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, batteries, fuel cells, oil and gas exploration and production, coal processing, mining, electric power generation and distribution, nuclear power, hybrid and electric vehicles, vehicle telematics, supertankers, trains and airplanes, and LEDs and lighting, among others.
Stephen also advises on the strategic development and commercialization of patent portfolios and patented products. He has invented around adverse patents, and is the inventor of six U.S. patents. Stephen has lectured at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and the Georgetown University Business School regarding patent strategies.
