Stephen Plog co-founded Plog & Stein, P.C. in 1999. Mr. Plog has practiced solely family law since 2001, and enjoys helping his clients navigate through the legal process, as well as helping them obtain the best possible outcome for themselves and their families.
Now, having practiced Colorado family law for nearly two decades, Steve has a great amount of knowledge, experience, and insight related to divorce and custody matters to share with his clients.
Having handled cases in all Denver metropolitan area District Courts, Steve is very aware of the different viewpoints and procedures of not only the courts, but the various judges in each.
Steve also greatly enjoys both complex legal writing and litigating trials in the courtroom. With his own style, he excels in both endeavors. As he continues in his family law practice, Steve looks forward to helping people with all of their family law needs and understands that each case is unique.
Stephen Plog was born in Chicago, Illinois. As the child of a university professor, Steve lived in many different cities growing up.
Ultimately, his family ended up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he attended New Mexico State University. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, as well as a supplemental pre-law minor.
Additionally, Steve completed one year of course work toward a graduate degree in Public Administration at New Mexico State University.
Rather than finishing up his graduate degree, he decided to move out East and begin his legal studies. Steve graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut in 1997.
After graduation from law school, Mr. Plog decided to move back West, to the beautiful state of Colorado. He moved here to Colorado with his twin brother, who had also graduated from law school with him.
Steve and his brother started their own law firm in 1998. That same year, Steve met his partner, Laura Stein. In 1999, Plog & Stein, P.C. was formed.
