As a partner in the Private Funds Group, Stephen M. Meli focuses his practice on the private equity and venture capital industry. He advises fund managers and institutional investors on a variety of issues, including structuring private investment funds, portfolio investments, secondary transactions and internal governance matters.
The majority of Stephen’s practice involves representing sponsors in the structuring of private investment funds or fund-of-funds and representing U.S. and global institutional investors in the private equity field. He routinely manages teams of lawyers that represent sponsors in structuring their funds and institutional investors in their investments across the alternatives asset class.
Stephen also represents institutional investors in connection with the acquisition and sale of secondary partnership interests and has advised clients on fund restructurings.
