Steven Erkel focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and class actions. Steven has represented companies in a variety of different business sectors in claims involving breach of contract, fraud, trade secret misappropriation, shareholder derivative actions, and unfair competition.
Steven also has significant experience representing companies in privacy and data security matters, including advising companies on GDPR compliance, data transfer agreements, data breaches, and website privacy and cookie policies.
While in law school, Steven worked with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, as a legal intern. He also served as senior articles editor and executive editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal. Before joining Alston & Bird, Steven worked at two international law firms.
