Steven Allan Mindel

Steven A. Mindel, a Certified Family Law Specialist* since 1998, is the Managing Partner of FMBK and divides his time between practicing Family Law and Business Transactions. Mr. Mindel graduated college Magna Cum Laude from UCLA in 1981 and received his Juris Doctorate degree from USC Gould School of Law in 1985.

Mr. Mindel is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Southern California Chapter. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Family Law Section Executive Committee and currently sits on the Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center Advisory Council.

He was appointed and served a two year term on the California State Bar Family Law Section Executive Committee (“FLEXCOM”). He also served as an Advisor to FLEXCOM for four additional years.

Mr. Mindel is a Past President of the Board of Trustees of University Synagogue and previously served on the Governing Board of Directors of Los Angeles Free Clinic where he received two special recognition awards for his volunteerism in the family law field.

Mr. Mindel is a frequent guest lecturer. Some recent presentations include: Panel One – “Our Side of the Street” at From Consult to Trial: Demystifying the Preservation, Collection and Presentation of ESI in Family Law an MCLE put on by ACFLS and Levitt & Quinn along with “Cross-Over Challenges: Family Law & Probate” for the Los Angeles County Bar Association Aviva K. Bobb Advanced PVP Attorney Training Symposium.
