Steven Lever obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1988. He graduated McGeorge School of Law obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1991.
His legal career has been focused exclusively on the practice of bankruptcy law for the past 25+ years. His first position was at Roquemore, Pringle & Moore with a bankruptcy trustee working on staff.
He went on to become a partner at Clarkson, Lever & Gore-a boutique bankruptcy firm in Torrance. Mr. Clarkson has since been appointed a bankruptcy judge. In March 1995, Steve opened his own practice, and has been managing bankruptcy cases at his own firm ever since then.
During his work with bankruptcy clients, Mr. Lever realized that people who faced serious debt issues were often never informed of the basics of financial planning. In an endeavor to better assist his clients by going above and beyond.
Mr. Lever pursued additional training by studying financial planning at the University of California, Irvine. He completed the Personal Financial Planning program in 2003. His ability in financial planning enables him to provide his clients with customized financial plans.
This sets him apart from other attorneys and provides his clients with the ability to maximize their financial success after pursuing debt relief.
He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum, and the Central District Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys’ Association.
An active member of these organizations, he often participates in meetings and educational programs and communicates via list serve on the knottier practice problems with bankruptcy attorneys all over the Southern California area.
In his spare time, Mr. Lever enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter and son. In recent years he has become a bit of a tennis fanatic.
