Steven J. Brotman is a counsel in the West Palm Beach office of Locke Lord LLP where he works with the consumer finance group. He has experience representing institutional lenders and servicers throughout the Florida state and federal courts arising from claims alleging violations of the Real Estate Settlement Practices Act (RESPA), Truth-In-Lending Act (TILA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Florida Consumer Practices Act (FCCPA).
Additionally, he has vast litigation experience throughout Florida’s state and appellate courts on contested residential and commercial foreclosure litigation and has handled numerous trials and appellate oral arguments. He has also represented clients throughout the Florida bankruptcy courts in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters.
