Steven J. Chase holds Florida Bar Board Certification in Civil Trial Law, and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Civil Mediator in both state (Florida) and federal courts. He is qualified to accept Florida Circuit Court appointments as a binding arbitrator or trial resolution judge and has served in said capacities in complex non-jury litigation matters.
Representing national corporations, institutional lenders, governmental bodies, commercial developers, municipalities, construction firms, insurance companies, sureties, and other business entities and individuals, Steven is admitted to practice law before all local and state courts in the State of Florida, the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
With a passion for sharing his knowledge, Steven authored “Attorneys’ Fees in Real Property Litigation,” Florida Real Property Litigation for The Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education, and served as an adjunct lecturer at the University of South Florida from 1979 to 1986, where he taught Business Law, and has lectured at various seminars involving such diverse substantive matters as lender liability and mechanic’s liens. At this stage in Steven’s career, he most enjoys mentoring younger lawyers.
