Attorney Steven Skinner obtained his Juris Doctoraate from the Loyola University Chicago Law School. He earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. While a student at Southern Illinois University, Steven Skinner obtained a degree in Political Science and was an English Literature minor. Upon graduation from law school Steve started to work as a prosecutor at the State’s Attorney’s Office of Cook County.
Steven Skinner was responsible for the prosecution of child support disputes, traffic cases, domestic battery, misdemeanors and felony offenses.
After his work as an Assistant State Attorney, he also represented clients in civil litigation cases at a respected law firm; Steve began a successful sole career. He concentrates his practice on civil litigation, criminal defense, and commercial and residential real estate law.
Steve was selected as the “Young Attorney of the Year” by Loyola Law School alumni for his character during the time he coached the mock trial team that proceeded to the national championship finals in 2004 and 2005.
