Steven P. Slayden is an associate in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois with a varied litigation practice. Steven has experience in handling depositions of fact witnesses and drafting and arguing motions throughout the course of litigation.
He performs his work in cases involving general liability, asbestos exposure, professional malpractice, and other matters in circuit courts throughout Northern Illinois. He has second chaired two medical malpractice trials, both resulting in verdicts for the defendant.
Steven also provides assistance in fraud actions under the Illinois Self-Service Storage Facility Act and breach of contract actions. During law school at Southern Illinois University, Steven was a member of the moot court team and competed in three national competitions.
During his time in undergrad at the University of Minnesota, Steven was a varsity letter winner as a three year member of the COED varsity cheer team, where he both competed on the national level and supported Gopher athletics from the best seats in the house.

Mr. Slayden clerked for the plaintiff’s injury firm Kralovec, Jambois, & Schwartz the summer after his first year in law school. Between his second and third years in law school, Mr. Slayden was the office clerk for Abramson, Murtaugh, & Coghlan handling insurance matters for Farmers Insurance company.
