Sumedha Ahuja-Bahri has a background as a bio-medical and mechanical engineer, with over ten years of experience as a patent practitioner. Although currently in private practice, she has worked as an in-house patent attorney in a corporate and university environment. She was also adjunct law professor instructing on intellectual property.
She has experience preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications, preparing validity and patentability opinions, and providing patent counsel in the areas of university technology transfers. She also advises in the copyright and trademark areas.
Sumedha has experience with various complex technologies and devices including surgical tools, biomaterials, prosthetics, drug delivery devices, sports equipment, mobile applications and wearable technology.
When Sumedha is not practicing law, she is often seen on stage as a stand-up comic or writing and/or producing comedy plays.
